"Born in Brazil, raised in Italy, Chef John Braga has had a passion of his mother’s authentic and homemade Italian food. Growing up he looked up his mother’s cooking, following every little steps until he mastered every dish. At the age of twenty-four he moved to New Jersey, he worked his way to sous-chef at some of the finest New York and New Jersey eateries, and also part of the team that was the personal chef for the owner of the Empire State Building in New York City.
Chef Braga has had the opportunity to cook for everyone from Ladybird Johnson to the Dallas Cowboys football team. “I was just glad to have a job, and I was very lucky. I got to shake the hands of celebrities such as, Frank Sinatra, John Travolta, Eddie Murphy, Brook Shields, Sandra Bullock, and many others, little did I known that one day I'd be cooking for them as well.”
In June 2012, John, alongside with his wife, Accountant and Marketing Director, Roxana Braga acquired Milano Trattoria in the Wolf Ranch Shopping Center in Georgetown, Texas."
